STAL Facilities

These facilities house various forms of research instrumentation as well 

as provide a means for STAL Members to conduct research.   

STAL is part of the Machine, Process, and Product Design Center 

of the Alabama Institute for Manufacturing Excellence.

Annex Laboratory - Located in Annex 1 of Hardaway Hall (Bldg. 69)

Sound Chamber Laboratory - Located in the Sound Chamber Room of the AIME Building (Bldg. 76).  This site houses a recently completed Hemi-Anechoic Chamber, which has been independently verified to meet ISO 3745:2003 specifications.  The facility can also be converted into an anechoic configuration.  Additional details are provided on this page as well as in this brochure.
