is E3?
- E3 stands for "Economy, Energy, and
Environment".
- E3 is a collaboration among federal programs,
with cooperation and support from state and local
agencies and companies, to synergistically deliver
assistance to manufacturers.
What is E3 in Alabama?
- The service providers for E3 services in Alabama
are the Alabama Industrial Assessment Center (AIAC)
and the Alabama Technology Network (ATN)
- The Alabama E3 pilot program. launched in June
2010, focuses on the automotive manufacturing
sector. The program will expand to other
manufacturing areas in the near future.
- Under the E3 collaboration, AIAC provides energy
assessments to medium and large energy-using
clients. ATN provides practical energy
training and assessments for small energy-using
clients.
- For each company serviced under the E3 program,
ATN will perform a Lean Manufacturing assessment.
How do I sign up?
- Contact ATN or AIAC. You can fill out an
AIAC application and
indicate "I'm interested in the E3 program" in the
"Other information" box on the application.
