AUTOMATION AND MACHINE DESIGN LAB

This laboratory will be a generalized production and machine component design facility especially configured to perform studies on products and processes for which a greater degree of capability or automation is desired.  As such, it will link modern CAD/CAM/CAE software with CNC hardware so new or existing parts or processes can be designed, modeled and analyzed.  The lab will provide an ideal testbed for the development of these improvements for actual clients; i.e., local industry, where they can experiment with new processes, fixturing capabilities, and automation without having to take existing facilities off-line to determine better procedures.
